The above slogan of America’s Next Top Model is perpetually stuck in my head. But I love this show - the travelling, the photoshoots, the runway and all that catfights behind the glamorous. All very bitchy but hugely entertaining indeed.
It’s so sad that our free to air was still showing cycle 9 when cycle 10 is long over, though I have to say that i prefer cycle 9 so much more than cycle 10. I love Janet from cycle 9, too bad she was ousted out so early in the game!

Min’s here! Xiang is still away, probably indulging in shopping heaven on pretence of working. But it’s all good! Xiang, shop moreeee and remember my souvenir! Heh. (Though she probably won’t get to see this ’cause she has no internet access.)
I’ve finally launched a series - I LOVE…. I am so sorry hunnies this came rather late. My trusty camera decided to die on me and it is still at the repair. This series is the product of desperate camera loan from random friends and family members. Pfft, I never realise I am that dependent on my camera.
I hope you like the series anyhow! A little weekend treat for you very patient ladies! This series really holds some of the items I really like myself! The rainbow necklace. The green overalls. The office chic skirt, I love this so much I have it in 2 colours. Lalala.
So Great Singapore Sale is over (or is it almost over, hmm). I hope you girls have shopped alot! If you hadn’t, you should have! I love good bargains and sales. In fact, Xiang and I bonded over our many Isetan Private Sales together. I’ll save that story for another day but it was crazy. Hahaha.

Patent barbie pink heels from Zara! I think it’s $59.90 but it’s not everyday you see a heels so barbie doll like, and I bought it even though it was 1 size bigger. Guess 2 insoles won’t hurt? Heh.

It has been a little hauntingly quiet at Little Red Heels last week. As in no updates, no new preorders, no blog posts. (Keep those orders coming in! Thank youuu so much darlings!)

See, Xiang has been preparing to go for a work trip! (I’m not saying where, but let’s just say, I am dead envious!) Setting off this Saturday, dear Xiang will only be back 2 weeks later! That lucky girl!
And me, my university convocation is taking place in exactly 12 hours time so that has kind of kept me busy for a while over the span of last week. I promise to launch something good after the official close of my academic life. Stay tune, would you?

There is two things I like a lot - satin and corset.
Satin for its silky feel, a material that never fails to make one feel comfortable and not to mention sexy.
Corset ’cause it is made to flatter the womanly body - bring on the curves! As much as it was once an oppressive object that binds the female body, aren’t we glad it has evolved and there are so many nice variations around that IS comfortable and also yep, sexy.
Don’t get me wrong, I am not one for that sexy kitten look. (I doubt I can pass of anyway. Bah.) But more like, the confidence you exude when you feel good about yourself and about your body. Satin and corset bring that out very well.
All shapes and sizes. You will rock it as long as you wear it with confidence.
So as Xiang is busy at work, and all my friends at work, me the unemployed self-employed decides to go a little shopping. Online. Heh.

It’s satin and it’s corset cut! Gimme gimme gimme! The thing I don’t like about shopping overseas, the wait is dreadful but it makes my day each time the package arrives. Hah. The things shopping do to you.
Anyway, here’s something I let you nice blog readers into FIRST! Yes, before everyone elseeee! If you remember the GG5 inspired satin top that we had a while back, affectionately named, Anything Satin!
We had two preorders for that and many of you girls were asking to have a mini dress version of the same thing. We agree and promised we will try to bring it back! We are not kidding!
Preorder will be opened within these two days and I last heard it will come in five yummy colours. Whee! Check back the website main page for the link!

Heeeeeeeeeeey ladies!
Ah, I was just reflecting about my previous post about shoes and it struck me that Little Red Heels doesn’t sell Basics too. Think solid coloured singlets, plain white tees etc. So I thought we can gather some comments for it. Because there are dot.coms like American Apparel which sell plain tees and tops and whatnot, at slightly above average prices. Yet, there are spree-ers that actually spree with them; pay overseas postage charges when you can get them dirt cheap in Singapore - places like Bugis Village, Topshop (cheap?), MNG, Zara and the like.
I still remember before online shopping became such a rave, I shopped once at American Apparel, bought a pair of shorts (without the benefit of combined postage), paying close to SGD70 to have it flown to Singapore. Thinking back, I must be mad.
So, I was just thinking if LRH should permanently sell some basics too. What do you online shoppers look for when you come to dot.coms like us? Would you be moved to get some basics to match with the unique pieces you get here? :) Afterall, basics are must-haves, aren’t they? Because even our fashion icons need them sometimes.

On a side note (and totally out of topic), I am really frustrated with commuters who don’t wait for those who are alighting to alight FIRST before squeezing their way in (like afraid that the doors will close on them anytime) and jamming up the path - which in turn cause more friction and hence the people who are alighting can’t get off and those boarding can’t get in. Grrr. Civil-mindedness, please.
I was bouncing emails with one of the customers, chatting randomly about LRH, school, life and the like.
Then we speak of passion versus the things we are do at present. It’s funny how we sometimes feel impelled to travel an opposite direction from the ones we know we are truly passionate about.
I took this off the email, I said:
It’s really cliche but sometimes we just have to believe in ourselves and our abilities and don’t let people tell you you can’t do it. I am learning that myself still! :)
If our lives comes with a known deadline, perhaps we will live our lives much differently as how we would live it now.
Think about it.
